Climate knowledge for all generations
Today we present three educational projects that make climate knowledge scientifically sound and practical. Whether at school, at a company event or in the community - in order to overcome the climate crisis, it is important that as many people as possible acquire the knowledge and skills to work in their own community towards "net zero".
Linie-e - energy experiences in schools | Linie-e by "Energiezukunft Schweiz" comes to your class and makes energy knowledge tangible: whether the children experiment with a model of a hydroelectric power station or construct their own solar aeroplane, the knowledge they gain in this way not only stays with them but also motivates them to deal with energy issues in their everyday lives. Did you know: What is the difference between photovoltaics and solar collectors? What does a generator do? Why does a kettle need more power than a radio? The three individually bookable school modules "Introduction to energy", "Solar energy" and "Saving energy" each last three lessons and are free of charge for schools in many cantons thanks to the support of energy service providers.
By the way, after such a school module, the children can easily answer the above questions. And you have the opportunity to do so in today's quiz.

postfossilCities – the Game for Climate-Neutral Cities | The computer-aided simulation game is an experimental space for the transformation to a climate-neutral economy. The participants explore the path to the post-fossil future in the roles of various social actors: Which measures must be tackled immediately? What can we reach on our own? And what should be implemented together with allies? Time is running relentlessly. The computer model continuously shows whether you are on track or not. In the reflection and transfer phase, systemic relationships are deepened and the experience is concretized with regard to the practical application in one’s own field of activity. The rollout of the game in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland is in full swing. The training of facilitators for the game will start soon. There are still places available.
Climate Fresk - a workshop to tackle change |
Three hours that fly by and inspire... In this interactive game, participants from companies, communities, schools or associations discover the causes and effects of human activities on planet Earth, the climate system and our future.
Animated by 42 cards with data and facts from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, they recognise their great potential for action in dealing with the climate crisis. More than 1.4 million people in 154 countries have already taken part in a Climate Fresk. Become also part of the community!
